Veronica Guarnieri, BSc.

My journey into movement and therapy is one of exploration, transformation, and deep dedication.

A childhood accident left me with a broken coccyx, creating a lasting imbalance in my lower spine and recurring lumbar pain. That early experience shaped my lifelong search for ways to support, strengthen, and understand the human body.

Over the years, I explored a wide range of disciplines including swimming, ballet, capoeira, running, martial arts, and yoga. Each practice brought valuable insight, yet I continued to feel that something essential was missing—true ease, strength, and integration within my body.

Everything changed when I was invited to try a Pilates class with a classical teacher. I immediately connected with the method and soon entered teacher training, completing my first comprehensive certification with Power Pilates NY.

Motivated to deepen my understanding and better support my clients, I went on to train with Polestar Pilates, expanding my knowledge through a more holistic approach that integrates movement, anatomy, physiology, and sports science from my BSc in Sports Science.

Today, my work continues to evolve as I explore fascia, myofascial chains, and somatic movement practices—deepening my understanding of how the body moves, adapts, and heals.

In my teaching, I blend experience, science, and intuitive movement to create a space where body and mind work together. My aim is to help you move with more ease, awareness, and confidence—so movement becomes something you carry into every part of your life.

Leo Goncalves, Dip, BSc, MSc

With over 25 years of clinical practice, Leo professional journey began in 1999 with studies in massage, naturopathy, facial acupuncture, and acupressure. I later completed an extensive 6-year training in Classical Acupuncture, Facial Acupuncture, Five Elements, and Medical Acupuncture at postgraduate level.

Alongside this, I developed a strong foundation in human anatomy and physiology. I completed a BSc in Sports Science, followed by further studies in physiotherapy, and later obtained an MSc in Clinical Anatomy from the University of Hull. This academic path provided a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the human body.

Nutrition and exercise are central to both my personal life and professional practice, forming a consistent framework for supporting long-term health and wellbeing.

Since qualifying in acupuncture, I have treated a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, headaches, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer. I also support women’s health (including pregnancy and menopause) and men’s health (including andropause).

As a senior acupuncturist, I teach anatomy and acupuncture points to therapists across the UK and lead regular online sessions in Tai Chi and Qi Gong. I currently work within the Anatomy Department at the University of East Anglia, supporting medical students across all years of training.

I also share educational content on clinical anatomy and physiology through YouTube, Instagram, and Rednote.
