At Soma in Motion, our mission is to help real-life bodies move with comfort, confidence, and joy. We blend Pilates, somatic education, Qigong, and breathwork in a trauma-sensitive, choice-based environment — our Reset & Re-pattern approach.

Evolving Pilates

A progressive Pilates class tailored to your body’s daily needs. Whether building strength, improving posture, or addressing recurring issues, this class supports steady progress. Small equipment like the Pilates ring, soft ball, elastic band, and light weights adds variety, challenge, and support.

 

Somatic Pilates

Experience gentle, intentional movements crafted to release tension, soothe your nervous system, and restore your body’s natural ease. Ideal for those managing stiffness, stress, or persistent aches, this class will leave you feeling lighter, more flexible, and profoundly relaxed.

 

Breathing

A soothing class designed to help you find balance, clarity, and ease through mindful breathing. With gentle, guided practices, you'll learn to slow down, connect with your breath, and release built-up tension. Perfect for all experience levels, this session invites you to take a moment for yourself and cultivate a sense of calm in your day.

Qi Gong & Tai Chi

Experience a revitalizing practice combining flowing movement, mindful breathing, and focused awareness. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong balances energy, boosts resilience, and fosters calm and clarity for body and mind. No equipment required—just bring your breath, body, and presence.

Do you have face to face classes? And where?

Yes, we offer face-to-face classes in our cozy and welcoming home studio in Cottingham. Our studio is fully equipped with everything you need for Pilates, and we’d love to welcome you.

How do I join?
